Description
Well, this started out as part of an hour long painting jam *Hyptosis and ~CountBlackula and myself did with the theme, er, "academic hornbill in fall". (Grabbing random words makes for interesting themes.)This is what I originally had done: [link]
..Then I got carried away, as I tend to do.

thanks for the watch.
I really dig this one. It has a cool creepy-ish fable look to it. The design reminds me of something Guillmero Del Torro would us in one of this movies.

After looking at the linked one, that's an interesting (if slightly creepy) evolution of images. They're both good, but I like the one here more

I love it. It's so imaginative! I love the color scheme--hey, I'm a sucker for fall--and overall theme of it. For some reason it makes me think of Ray Bradbury, and I'm not sure why. (I suppose it's the orangeness of autumn. Makes me think of "October Country".)

Fantastic. It's about the only fitting word for this.

Good God of Autumn, that looks fabulous. Seriously. I was loving your original hornbill painting, but... yeah. I'm floored. Specifically, I dig the fall colors and the environment itself. It's like it's telling some sort of a tale.
I wonder if that's a friendly bird...

The before and after are interesting. The after is much grander. And I think the horn was influenced by Hyptosis, the patterning is similar. I like the hazy atmospherics. Nice work as always

Not really seeing the similarity to Hyp's aside from the fact that they're both hornbills, but thanks.

I withdraw my comment about being at similar to Hyptosis. Looking at them today, I cannot see at all what ever I was seeing yesterday. In my defense, I have to get more sleep.
