Er, hi.
Well, let me put it this way. A lot of things that I really, really do not care to discuss happened, and I pretty much vanished from the internet without a trace for the last.. er.. I don't even know how long it's been to be honest. A long time.
I'm not entirely back yet but I'll be around more often.
Purgatory Tower is not going to be starting up again until I can create a buffer of pages in the hope of avoiding this type of thing in the future. It's not a (completely) dead project, I do intend to start it up again, just not right now.
I am very sorry for vanishing without a word. The fact of the matter is that for the last couple of months I've been too embarrassed to start posting things again because of the way that I left, compounded by possibly the worst case of artist's block I've ever had in my life. If you'd like to yell at me and call me a terrible person, please feel free to get it out of your system.

It's so GREAT to hear from you, it HAS been too long...I never thought you had given up on Purgatory Tower. And I'm willing to wait even longer for updates. I'm willing to wait FOREVER! (Well, perhaps not forever, forever IS a rather long time after all.)
But your comic was one of the very first I read on DrunkDuck, and it's been a huge inspiration. It's ironic that you should make an appearance again, 'cause I've been just thinking a LOT about my own comic that PT inspired. I STILL haven't started it yet, but I was thinking about it this summer. And I was gonna go back through the archives of PT to get "in the groove."

Was kinda wondering what happened when the comic just all of a sudden stopped.
I can understand things coming up and making it difficult to get online (or want to get online for that matter).
But you should not have been embarrassed because of the way that you left. We are just glad that you are back.
Although I think a heads up would have been nice, you really don't owe us anything.

I don't think you owe anything to anyone, fans are for the most part glad to be able to enjoy their favorite artists' work.

Things happen, priorities have to change.
It might have been nice to see something with regards to, you know, that you weren't dead via car accident or something...you shouldn't (or don't have to) feel beholden to your audience, I don't think, but at the same time there's a relationship being built there. That's the only and last thing I'll say about that, though. In the end, you've got to stay alive and sane and engaged in what you love and need to do.
