First off, this isn’t supposed to make any real sense whatsoever. I doodled this on my notepad during today's particularly boring Accounting lesson (blah blah tax law blah) and you can still see the rings at the bottom right. Don’t look!

Werlll… I guess the only vaguely lucid explanation of this is that what you’re seeing is Christine, now the Countess de Chagny (note wedding ring ), looking at her reflection in a mirror and remembering back to the days when her reflection was not the only thing she saw in her mirror...
Looking back at the Countess is that old Christine, reminding her of what she once was and the path she didn’t choose.
