Y'know, I was just reading a composition tutorial about how you shouldn't put the focus point in the "dead center" 'cause it looks boring, but I see nothing boring about this. I love the painting, as always, and the mysterious night atmosphere. It's all so perfect, concept and execution.

That's the fun thing about rules- learning about them so you can break them properly [Not that I'm at that point yet, but it's nice to think I'm on my way].
