Back to lions, but moving on to sequel canon characters! I don't know if my style has improved at all since I started these, but I'm pretty sure my process has. I'm a little more confident using Clip, though I still have a lot to learn. Kiara was a particular challenge since I wanted her to be Nala's age circa the original film, but without looking too much like Nala.

Kiara is the mother of twins, Haji and Hakima. She's not the queen of Pride Rock yet, but her parents have full confidence in her ability to rule wisely once she takes the throne. It's clear that tradition will see a few more shakeups, since she never really did hone her hunting skills and mostly leaves that to Kovu (who is happy to lead a party of lionesses and bring home a kill for his wife). She's also not much of a fighter, but her diplomacy means she doesn't have to be and hopefully never will.
