I want to get more into TLK fan art, and I have a lot of headcanons for a fic I've mostly lost hope for completing, so I figured some character sheets would be a good way to salvage those while working on improving my style. I'm starting with references for the canon characters, but modified according to where I see them in the future.

Obviously, Simba comes first! This unwritten story mostly takes place when Kiara and Kovu's cubs are young adults, so I tried to depict our boy as a stately, grandfatherly lion who has worn the crown for a long time now. I also thought a few battle scars would suit him, but they're more or less randomly placed.

The background is a screenshot from the "live-action" remake, which won't have any other influence on whatever I write or draw. For inspiration, I've been looking not only at canon but at the TLK fan artist accounts here on devArt who produce amazing visuals with such skill and creativity. You all rock.
