Description
The Pride Rock matriarch is here and I had a lot of fun designing her! I wanted something distinct from other canon characters and also other artists' interpretations, and I thought the golden color scheme paired with the scraggly build did the trick.

In my backstory, Uru was betrothed to Ahadi, Crown Prince of Pride Rock, when both were fairly young. In defiance Uru ran away with a rogue and came back pregnant a few months later, abandoned by her lover and full of despair. Her family immediately took her back in, and when Ahadi learned what had happened, he chose to go through with the wedding anyway and raise her son at her side. Uru accepted his renewed offer, and their bond remained strong for all their lives as they ruled the kingdom together.
