Aubrey is really embarrassed that she let Alexa get one over on her and that it was her friend who suffered. She helps Yasmine to a chair and kneels beside her after removing her cap.

“Yasmine. I’m so sorry. I can’t believe that I let this happen to you.”

“It’s okay. You are making a bigger deal of this than it really is. It only hurt for a little while. I didn’t provoke her to do worse! And I promise that I won’t report you, ha ha. I just need a second to breathe. She tied me up really good and those cuffs of yours are brutal!”

After a few minutes, an impatient Aubrey breaks the silence:

“I know you are recovering, but I need to find her quickly. Did she say where she was going?”

“No, she didn’t say anything other than she was getting out of here and that she didn’t have time to steal my clothes. Ha ha. Imagine if you had burst in here only to see me naked on the bed.”

“Or if the doctor…”

“Oh geez. I’m glad she didn’t see me like this!”

“Well, I hate to do this, but if you think you’ll be okay, I’m going to head back to the precinct. The only thing that she gave me to go on was that she was going to be going after whomever kidnapped and beat her. I’m going to go through some of the old files of the crazy things that have been happening in this town. I’ll check in on you later!”

“Okay, Aubrey. Go get her!”
