Entry to Obscure Phantom contest.Image is inspired by an episode of Babar the Elephant entitled "The Phantom" in which Babar investigates a supposedly haunted abandoned music hall, only to find a Phantom actually haunting it.

I love this episode- though it doesn't rank as one of my favorites or even one I find noteable, it's not a bad one (I don't think there's really a "stinker" in Babar... maybe the Unsalted Sea Serpent, but I'm feeling generous today)
I love your use of the spotlight and shadowing to show Babar's isolation in the presence of the Phantom. It really highlights his terror.

I remember Babar! I was like five when i first introduced to him. However, I listen to it in French since I was born in a french speaking country and lived there for the first 9 yrs of my life before moving to the states

I loved Wishbone when I was a child. I may have seen the PotO episode, but I barely remember it. Hopefully it's on YouTube somewhere. I beat myself up a few days ago for giving up my PotO Wishbone plush years ago when I was young and stupid.

That is stinkin' amazing! I like how it's in your style, but you can still see the original character design in it... That's my biggest problem.

I was actually trying to copy the cartoon, but I guess my own style leaked in by default.
That's the best advice I can give for adapting other designs to your style: just try to copy it verbatim; some of yourself will always come through.
