What a great idea for a series! I like the story of the time Michael Crawford nodded off in the middle of "why have you brought us here", so the microphone picked up the sound of him snoring instead of "...Christine..."

Gotta be Peter Karrie, though Gary Mauer is a close second. Karrie sings funny, but I love his portrayal of the character. The man actually makes Erik seem seductively evil, yet still deranged and murderous! Have you seen any of his clips on YouTube? I love what he does with his hands; he never stops moving them!
Mauer is close only because of his version of the Final Lair scene. I just love how he does it!

Do. There are many cool Phantom related videos there. Not only are there recordings of the show, but the entire Kopit miniseries is posted. I highly recommend that. It's my favorite non-ALW interpretation.

I don't think I've ever looked him up on youtube. I' sure he's there though! I saw Brent Barret in Vegas and will be seeing the show again within a year. The US touring group is coming to my town next February!

All I have is beauty and the beast (Disney vers. It's good, but everyone looks like stuffed plushies) playing in the local theatre, in my area. Phantom has never reached this place even once. I don't think the community has a stage with the right props (although it always looks like it does..>.>

I'm really not interested in the Disney based shows. I love the movies and I love the music, but seeing a cartoon turned into real people is just strange to me. The only one I would consider seeing if I got the chance is Tarzan.
Yeah, my town has a regular flow of shows from the Broadway across America series, Rent being the last real good one. I didn't see it though; I hadn't seen the movie yet and was still skeptical. Too bad, the movie was great.
Our community theater puts on some fun shows. The last one I saw was Hair. Now that was a trip!

I've been given the impression that the 'Lion King' stage play was a hit- in comparison to the other stage adaption versions of Disney plays.
Again, I doubt the community in my area has any interest with Broadway and theatre... GRAHH!
