History: Mor-Naur is born of the most ancient unicorn lines. His home herd is small and lives south east of The Wanderer and Heaeth’s valley. When he was just over a year old, he grew restless and set out on his initiation, the journey upon which he would discover his name. He was gone for several months, discovering his true name in the caverns of a dormant volcano. Mor-Naur means “Dark Flame” in the ancient language of his people. Upon returning to his homeland, he found the place in ruin. Very few of his herd had survived and told of the fire that occurred just two months prior. And, it was on that very night that Mor-Naur received his name. The moon was new and the wind cold. As the gods whispered his name, a flame struck down upon his homeland, incinerating all living beings save the few elders that survived, though they died within the year. Feeling cursed, Mor-Naur fled and vowed never to return home. He grew enraged and angry, fighting any beast that might stand in his path. Day after day he was struck by new enemies, often of his own creation, and gathered more injuries. By the time he was five, he had grown weak and weary and was left to die by an older stallion. It was during this time that the gods spoke to him once again. They healed his broken bones, muscles, heart, and spirit. They also told him to return home. Against his own vow, he journeyed home to discover a lush pasture and forest, filled with animals of all sorts, but none of his kind. It was at this time that he learned of the arts of the world. Since then, he has always held that a wound only heals and rebuilds itself stronger than the original. And he is proud of his scars, though many still shame him. Now, he only fights according to the tradition and courtesy of proper combat. His fights are often short and brief, though fierce and wild. He upholds his honor on the battlefield. Still, he continues to search for the meaning behind the fire and an explanation as to why he is the last of the ancient line.
Personality: Arrogant and cocky, though strangely admirable; upholds his honor and that of others, except when a lovely mare is involved; bold, reckless, and fearless; mostly a loner; very intelligent, quick-minded, and witty; easily humbled by being defeated in a fight and will realize his mistake at that point; very much a ladies’ man; hardy, durable, and strong.
