Obligate carnivore is being tortured by vegetables.
That is aΒ SERIOUS POINT.

Actually, red foxes can eat and digest a variety of vegetable matter. I mean, you can find videos of them happily munching on things like apples or berries. (They're definitely more carnivorous than humans, though.) Broccoli is a different matterβit's mostly complex carbohydrates, and if it tastes loathsome to human children, you bet it would to fox kits.
...
I honestly think that most adults are just eating broccoli and saying they like it out of politeness. With its makeup, it's more suited to ruminants than to omnivores. Throw that awful vegetable to the sheep!Β

OK, then, you like what you like.Β Β IMO it can be OK (if baked for just the right amount of time, or boiled and lightly buttered, usually with seasoning), but it can never be "really good".

Obligate carnivore means that the species has to have meat in its diet, not that it can't have a mixed diet!
If you must lecture people about diet, please make sure they don't know what the terms they're using mean first!

(Note: This was written right after your response, but not posted until now, 'cause a misclick destroyed the original draft.) Oh, I knew full well what the term means, and knew you know it, too. But I have never heardΒ redΒ foxes being called obligate carnivores, unlike fennec foxes. Which seemed to make sense, as their biology and behavior are uncharacteristic of most obligate carnivores, which typically have a reduced sense of taste and do not eat vegetable matter unless actually starving, almost like a famine victim eating dirt to feel full.
I could be massively wrong, though, so IΒ amΒ willing to know if there are indeed certain essential metabolites for red foxes that are not present in sufficient quantity in anyΒ natural non-meat material, or certain digestive limitations that prevent them from releasing certain essential metabolites from non-meat material*β .
*I extremely strongly suspect that if the latter was changed to "non-animal-sourced material" there would be some, as even for preindustrial humans there were only a select few foodstuffs that prevent them from being "obligate carnivoresΒ sensu amplo".
β Regardless, the distinction is really moot in the modern-day (in captivity... given huge funding), because industrial chemistry can now produce effectively all simple biomolecules, and with the aid of enzymes and GM cells most complex ones, too.

OK, after a pause to do some research, I can't find a reputable source, but was always taught that the European red fox is an obligate carnivore.
Also, I was trying to make a joke, so let's not over-analyse it.

This does make sense when you realize that foxes are carnivores (meat eaters).
