An annoyed sigh issued from the middle of the room. Wing paused his seemingly endless chatter.
"You’re supposed to be meditating, Drift."
The ‘Con hadn’t even realised he’d ex-vented so loudly. An Optic peeked open to stare at the white and red Jet.
"It’s boring and stupid. And it doesn’t help that you won’t shut up."
"Meditation shapes us, makes us strong but keeps us flexible; resilient. As fluid as thought itself. As invisible as the night. Be able to go inside under all circumstances, even waiting to go into battle, without falling asleep.” Wing smiled, reaching out to pat his grumpy ward’s helm “Anyone can learn to meditate in silence.”
"It’s still a good sit ruined." came the huffy reply.

Inspired by an episode of Babylon 5 (Season 5, Episode 5 - Learning Curve). In fact, Wing’s second sentence is a quote from the episode, which was my actual inspiration. For those not in the know, the episode centres around two Anla’shok recruits, who at the time of the quote, had trouble meditating because their teacher was talking to another Master Anla’shok about a visit to the Babylon 5 space station.

But, my, haven’t things changed Drift? Now you would probably get grumpy if you couldn’t meditate. I think I have a new iPad lock screen. I love this picture so much. (even more so because I drew it in response to all the sudden Drift hate that appeared on my dash about a week ago).
