I drew this little robot on the back of a post card a while ago and thought he looked so cool that i had to do something with him. I cut him out and sat him on my desk. As I pursued various other projects, he watched over...waiting for his time to shine lol...this was about 3 months ago.This was finished in a bit of a rush (I was using it for an interview I had the next day to get into uni). I started without a concept, I just wanted the robot to be accompanied by more things that had been cut out. Once the squares came and I started playing around with their placement, the idea of what it would all say simply cultivated itself. It was about being imaginative and original - a tornado of ideas and imagination coming out of his head, in contrast to the plain, orderly squares he resided in or was expected to adhere to (as a robot of course).

The detail in there is amazing. I try to do this sort of depth with shapes and especially squares but your style is amazing and well out of my possibilities atm. This is really great. Love the detail as the mind vortex thing shrinks... Wow, hard to explain this.

Thanks for the great comment. You have a very unique style with the squares though. That geometric styling can really be used awesomely, I guess only tip I can give is get a really sharp pen (I didnt, but I "sharpened" a felt-tip pen with scissors haha) and work under a bright light. You'd be able to do it.

WOW! This is one of the most mental stimulative pieces I've come across yet. So abstract at first, then so radical yet construed by your imagination to the viewers.
I don't mean to ramble but this is extraordinary! I could look @ this for hours on end. It's similar to admiring those infamous 'search and find' challenging pictures where you try and find all the listed items and so forth... lol

Um, Do you mind if I used the outline of your idea? I mean like, you see... I'm in this program called Destination Imagination and we're going to make t-shirts and well this kinda inspired me. I wanted to have a person with this cloud of ideas coming out of their head and then I wanted to put the names of our different challenges inside, and at the bottom it was going to say 'Feed Your Imagination.' I really wanted to do this idea but, I didn't want to take your idea and I wasn't sure if you'd be okay with it.
