Description
This was a doodle I drew in a derranged state staying at a friend's sharehouse. I was in a room, with a mattress as a bed, and I didn't know if the owner of said mattress was going to return at some stage through the night. I tried to imagine the horror of coming home and finding a strange boy in my beloved bed..It was also incredibly hot, but I couldn't go pantsless due to my Goldilocks-style paranoia.
Needless to say I could not allow myself to sleep.
And so I just lay there...with the light on...right on the very edge of the mattress. I figured I might as well draw to occupy myself over the next four hours before we had to awake, and so I scavenged for some paper and a half-working blue pen and made this.
I have an obsession with birds and hats, it seems

Thankyou! And the paper you see is actually a texture applied in PS, it was originally drawn on plain paper but I thought a texture would suit it more

How the hell did you manage that amount of awesomeness with a 'half-working blue pen'! Immensely cool and detailed and I love the simplicity of tone too ^_^
What a way to spend your night

Thanks man! Lol, ducky. I am loving duck-esque heads right now. I don't know where it came from. The uni I go to has an abundance of ducks..but I've been there for years and they're also unexpectedly aggressive. Lol.

Haha, most often the case in my experience. For all these years at uni I've never started writing an essay before 10pm the night before. I shudder just thinking of that scenario again, lol.

ahh awesome! what a terrible situation to find yourself in. its like being in hospital and knowing a nurse could work in any second of the night and check your blood pressure etc! every person that walked past made me nervous!

Dare I say "I'm glad you were sleepless"....I don't mean that...really!
but I really love the Victorianess of this...It has also a touch of Jane Austen's "Georgian"

Yes haha, very Jane Austen. But more exciting I hope. In hindisght I'm glad I was sleepless too, I mean it had little to no long-term effects, I should just do it more often
