At first look this seems to be a simple pic but it is very difficult to get the right tonal qualities of the same colour to produce such an image.
I am not an artist and so find this pics freedom and movementΒ amazing!

Well, thanks! Though I'd say it's not so much anatomy (knowledge of the different parts of the body and how they relate to each to other) as it is gesture (the flow and movement of the body).
I actually purposefully left some inaccuracies in the anatomy to better serve the movement.
