Out of curiosity, why did you chose the name Ellen? Is it a real person, or a name you just chose to give to your work. Did you pick it out before or after you had finished drawing it? Thanks for posting.

I like her expression. It's very thoughtful, as if she's looking out the window and thinking about something sad. Very serene, yet warm colored. The skin is good, but a little too much red hye. Add some yellow or blue to balance that out.

I agree with the first commenter that this picture has a sad vibe. It's kind of interesting because blue is usually associated with sadness. I like this color choice though. I also like the strokes. It brings a lot of movement to the picture.

I really like your use of color in the shadows, it looks like there are hints of blue which contrasts with the rest of the piece that's made up of reds/browns. I think it's my own personal opinion, but I don't really like the black lines as much... to me the break up the image rather than accent it. but again I say, that's just me.

I like the picture but I am missing the yellow in her skin. The grey background you used it a good solution to not have to colour eveything and give it a natural tone, but because of the grey it makes her sking look a little dead.
The expression is god though and I really like the wiggly lin that makes her sweater materialise!
