Like me you may well have heard the news that Hayao Miyazaki is to retire from feature film directing . When I heard the news this picture is the first thing that came to mind! I think it's because the sheer depth of imagination, creativity and enthusiasm contributors to the Felarya universe exhibit reminds me of Studio Ghibli-esque works, full of bold ideas and evocative stories. I am sad he's retiring, but I wanted to celebrate his accomplishments - hence this rather upbeat remembrance of one of my favourite films. Crisis has made a new friend!

if i remember well Miyazaki announced retire like a bazillion times, even back at the times of Mononoke Hime XD i hope it's the same thing this time too xP

When I watched the Hayao Miyazaki movies, I thought the visuals were very beautiful, the problem I had with the animations is that I thought the writing was kind of on the poor side and it felt like it would drag on or felt like something didn't connect. I guess my mind just rejects it like a bad kidney. I guess it's a hit or miss.

This is an adorable tribute. I know I grew up a pretty big fan of Miyazaki's work, so while this is a bit sad, we can only wish him the best. Nicely done^^

Ahhh Miyazaki, responsible for some of the most memorable and influential works in animation, and indeed, film in general. I remember seeing Spirited Away for the first time and being completely floored by the sheer beauty and surreal craziness doing on.
Anyway, this is one of the most adorable depictions of Crisis ever! I think you've really captured her (and Totoro!) admirably well, and that fang is just perfect.
