After a lifetime of doing lineart in a traditional medium, with pencil sketching and ink fineliners, a little while ago I finally rejoined modern artistic society by switching to drawing on a tablet PC (a Microsoft Surface to be exact.) I miss the feel and control of the old medium a lot but it's hard to argue with the advantages entirely digital pieces offer. It was a real steep learning curve as you will probably see in the variable quality of my lineart in a few upcoming pieces! This is one of the test drawings I did trying to get established with my new tablet: Tarynn and a bird that is probably about to leave her a lovely present on her finger.Out of interest, artists of DA: what equipment do you currently use for your work?

Well, I'm no art critic or anything, butΒ Tarynn looks really great here in my uneducated opinion: the switch in drawing method doesn't seem to have impaired the qualityΒ much as far as I can see.
And great work with her expression (as always), you're really quite good at conveying so much emotion and nuance in a single text-free frame.Β Lovely!Β

I use a Lapazz PF1209. Had it for years, dunno where I got it, dunno why I got it, but it gets the job done.
it's huge tho
It's a 12"x9" tablet, which is way too big. I didn't realise it was going to be so enormous when I bought it, but I've come to deal with it.
I also use Paint Tool Sai because it's relatively simple and versitile.Β

I rock an Adesso Cybertablet M14 and Clip Studio Paint to crack out work nowadays, seem to work pretty well since the tablet is built like a brick.

Oh, none of the stuff i currently have on DA was made in the new program. what its mostly done was speed up my work since its more powerful than Sai as a program and can just rock out things faster once you get a hang of how it operates.

I enjoy it XD well as much as I can. I am not very skilled in using it =0 there are a lot of things I dont use on it. Dialogue is really easy on it.
