Description
Ring the bell, and all those fathoms cease to matter anymore...He can take you anywhere, and lives to do so -
so come on, take a ride on the Fish Bus!
The only way to travel the briney depths of Parkland's oceans!
once again, inspired by my brilliantly epic goldfish, the biggest of which is now over a foot long
helped along by the musical stylings of Entheogenic, Slipknot (grey chapter is awesome) and OK GO.
Yes, i know... i said Slipknot and OKGO in the same sentence. well, this is what you get of this kind of thing
I'm not sure if this is more surreal or fantasy... but since they are obviously breathing fine underwater, im goin with surreal
drawn using pigment ink fineliners, biro, HB pencil, prismacolors, blender pencils and lyra youngster chunky coloured pencils on A4 heavy-duty card. took well over 100 hours in total.

Brilliant! and very well drawn. Just the sort of thing I like - there's plenty of great art about "normal" subjects so I prefer the unconventional stuff like this (it sort of goes with my "Aquarium Mechanica")

my art lies somewhere between fantasy, surreal and something else.... illustration perhaps. its unfortunate, most mainstream places dont accept me because of it. they want me to adhere to one style or another, which sucks.
i will keep on doing what i love, and sometime someone will notice (hopefully lol)

Yes it is good to meet someone with the same attitude.
There are plenty of good people out there doing "normal" stuff so I wanted to do surreal and "alternate reality" type stuff as well. I have only done 20-ish artworks and am still a beginner but my "Chicken Squadron" made No1 in Google images right away - unusual gets noticed.
The music industry seems to like our sort of thing too - one guy was going to show my work to Franz Ferdinand (and now also the Mael brothers too (FFS) but that was teh day before Bowie died and the whole industry cancelled meetings and went into studios to pay tribute.
I am not trying to selll anything (yet) - just a hobby but if you are then there's another idea!

i have a few band t-shirts and two album covers under my belt, and have had a few exhibitions over the years. it works if you bust your backside working at promoting yourself; but in the modern era having an agent is apparently much more important if you want to be an artist full-time.
im working on it... hopinng to go to college this year, which would be expensive at my age, but would get me in the right kind of circles to get more payed work as an artist.keep on drawing and painting! its really only a matter of time and practice, we get better every day

No problem with the late reply, as I generally do not expect one, as I am aware it can be difficult to keep up with comments especially if you have a lot them to reply to. Otherwise, you can spend all your time on replying to comments
and having little time for creative work.
Just imagine no time for Dreamy Ideas or Rethinking Old Ones. Β

It's so whimsical! I love it . That grey fish in the bottom left corner is my favorite! And I sure hope that shark up there isn't up to anything suspicious >.>
When I was little one of my biggest wishes was to be able to see clearly under the water and to be able to breath under it.
Also, I've got to listen to your songs soon still. My days are going by way too fast to keep up atm! I FINALLY managed to submit a chapter that was weighing heavily on me, so maybe this week I can actually do it. I'm super excited to!

You have fish? I wanted goldfish...but, after my three Bettas died I've had my hands full enough with the dogs...I'm thinking of purchasing two giant hissing cockroaches to help me get past my roach phobia though. They're incredibly cheap and easy to care for... Come to think of it, one of those would look awesome in your style... they have such cool little shield bodies. They're almost kind of cute...
I definitely will. I might have the time tomorrow since Max will be working the entire weekend at his second job. (he's about to quit when he goes back to work with me.) So, I'll have a lot of alone time where I'll probably just do my weekend tidy-ing up and then get on here .

i thought everyone knew my fish by now. . . they have massive personality to go with their massive bodies. two goldfish, but using the biosphere of about five because they have grown so massive. the key to keeping them going is true love... and crystals. they have some amazing crystals in their aquarium, including a piece of amethyst, a boulder of rose quartz (weighs a few Kg) and half of an ammonite fossil amongst many others. my biggest goldie is about a foot long now i have always been unsure about owning bugs as pets. as a kid i kept garden bugs in tanks etc, but now i have come to understand that insects inparticular dont have the same cognitive processes, and dont seem to think on the same level as larger animals. on the other hand, im pretty sure mice have almost the same capacity for intelligence as dogs, monkeys or indeed people. scientists have it all wrong; i have trained my fish and they certainly remember much further than merely three months!
cool, would love to hear what you think. just try not to go in with expectations and im sure i wont sound that bad i used to be in bands and do the whole gigging scene (at least for a short while) but that was many years ago, and as many people have pointed out, my music is very different!
good luck with the tidying and whatnot

THAT is a big goldfish! I've heard of them growing that large but I've never seen one. My regular male Betta (named Hal-bop after the comet because the pictures of it had almost his exact colors and he looked like a little comet with a beautiful sweeping tail) lasted a little longer than most Betta do in captivity. I rescued him against my parents' wishes from a pet store. He had fin rot so bad that I wasn't sure if his fins or tail would grow back. They were shredded stubs But, they did after a few weeks in a clean tank and grew incredibly long and vibrant. He was an amazing fish and had a mansion of a tank until I moved in with Max and had to put him into smaller accommodations.) He and the newer two (which had the spiky fan tails.) didn't do too well when We moved again out of the duplex into our current house. They died months later, the small blue one that I got for Keldrake first. That depressed me. Hal-bop hung on a lot longer than the other two, but he never seemed as happy in the bigger house. I think he missed my old room and his super bubbles rainbow led tank. He adored it, and would swim happy circles around the bubble column all the time, especially right after it was cleaned. I agree on the crystals; all three fish had them in their tanks. Hal had the most, lots of Rose Quartz and amethyst. I really miss that fish. We knew he was starting to go, but Max was the one that found him dead in the morning and had to tell me, in tears. He's got a lovely little grave in my garden now, wrapped up in some pretty cloth with a few things from his tank. It's always been my habit to bury my pets mummy style. Especially hamsters, with fresh food, toys and the like. Idk why.
What are your Goldies like? Male or female? And what kind of personalities? Perhaps I will get another Betta instead of the roaches, but we'll have to see. They might be bugs, but they seem to have certain personalities as well, just maybe not as strongly. They're mostly instinct. Bugs make ok pets if you care for them well. Never as cuddly as a hamster, but I've had a lot of bugs in my day that I used to catch on my own, and I loved them all just the same. My favorite when I was little were the catterpillars! I loved to take them in and let them cacoon safely in a tank before releasing them when they became a butterfly. Catterpillars are adorable . I also really want an ant farm. I adored ants as a child. I'd stick a large stick down their colony hole (I was like 7) and they'd push it out in seconds!!! They're fascinating. I guess my Virgo self admires their efficiency.
Sorry I didn't get around to it last night D: I was digging my drafting table out of the quarantine zone that is my studio. It's currently being used for storage. Then I got distracted with some things for max's story D: but, I'm sure I'll love them .
P.S. A few kg? That is a big chunk of rose quartz!

i think we have a male and a female; male is about a foot long, female a bit smaller. they are aggressive and feisty, but tame and if i put my hand in there they just swim around me like they dont care. i have stroked them a couple of times, they seem confused about it
they like to shred their brazilian waterweed, and spend a lot of time swimming about at the front of the tank trying to get us to feed them. when i shake the food-tub in front of the glass, they go mental and swim about like maniacs, they are well trained now. had them about seven or eight years now, they are huge, wide, and weigh a fair bit when we have to remove them to clean the tank. and yeah, the rose quartz is cool, it was a part of our stone circle for a few years before going in there, so its well charged with fundamental energies
let me know when you check out my music
