Probably my favorite art-wise out of everyone I've done so far. I like how this came out.Besides the robot characters, I try to make my humanized versions a bit more natural looking, instead of having really crazy anime hair and fantasy outfits. My goal was to make human versions that would invoke the same kind of feelings and reactions from the other characters and audience as their mobian counterparts do. Basically, as if I had to retell all of the Archie Sonic history, but with humans instead of mobians. I'm avoiding the typical gijinka look of KPOP boy with blue emo hair. Personally, that's just not my bag, and I've seen it done too many times to do it myself. Cool beans if that's what you like, it's just not for me.
Blaze's original design already has the forehead gem that looks like a bindi, so choosing Indian clothes was easy. I turned the concept art cape into a scarf because I figured it would compliment both her look and her fire abilities more. Everything about her is very elegant and swooshy.
Also fire is fun to draw.

I think most of them have a lot of room for improvement, but I plan to keep working on them and editing them in the future, seeing what I come up with as I get better. It's encouraging to know that people like them now though! Thanks so much~

Wow. I think this is your best humanization yet! The outfit is gorgeous yet simple and memorable, and it suits Blaze perfectly. The scarf is a nice touch, and amazingly well drawn (I personally can't draw fabric to save my life. TT). The idea of making her Indian is unique and quite genius. Overall, great job!

Blaze looks so wonderful here! The Indian look suits her perfectly (and I love her swooshy bits xD). I have to say, I really enjoy the dress sense you put into these characters, the clothes here for Blaze are especially nice, she's very innocently dressed and the scarf compliments the outfit really well. I also really like that with these female characters, you're not taking the easy road and just re-using their outfits, but instead going the extra mile and making them unique to the human counterpart! Fantastic work!

I guess I could just use the girls' outfits again, but they look a little zany for this project, I think. Like I can't picture someone like Rouge (or even Blaze, really) in their original outfits and still looking natural. That's actually my biggest problem with Rouge gijinkas, is when people reuse the heart catsuit on a human body. Bleh.
Besides, it's more fun this way! XD I liked picking out something that looked regal, but was modest, while still having plenty of flexibility for physical activity. It's analyzing the character and developing headcanon for them that's one of the most enjoyable parts for me to work on.

I think keeping the face reminiscent of the original character is the biggest part in having them keep the same tone. The clothes and colors are actually pretty secondary after that and I don't feel they contribute quite as much to translating the original's attitude and personality. I mean, they're still important to recognizing who it is, but the face is where you can picture this version of Blaze doing and saying the same things as the one in the games and book.
