it was good because the lightning was striking all the time.. and i was a good distance away so I could see it and not get rained on.. just one of those perfect conditions to shoot

Amazing! That bit of lightning peeking above the cloud was such a great capture. I love how the lightning is framed at the top and bottom by dark areas. It's like a widescreen view.
So much drama too with just a little bit of calm sky showing through at the left ... I like that contrast! It's good to see all these photos from you again.

it's rather simple actually.. if your camera has a shutter speed priority setting just change it to 3-4 seconds and keep taking pictures in the direction where the lightning is striking.. eventually you will get something..

yeah it has but i wasn't familiar with the shutter speed thing until now when my friend explained it to me , so next time it rains im gonna try to shoot something
