I saw a raven a little while ago,actually I heard the wings before I saw it.When I went out to the road I was stunned to see this huge bird carrying a full bag of garbage from up the road.He wasn't getting much height but he carried that bag about 2 feet off the ground down the middle of the road until he was out of sight.I prayed a truck wouldn't come up the road,there are tall trees on both sides of the road and if he met one on the corner, oooh! Either the bird would have got hit,no way he could have cleared the trees with that bag or the vehicle would have got a windshield full of garbage.I was amazed at the wing span,the strength and determination of this raven.

Thanks so very much Evey! I was bringing in my recycle container from the side of the road after they picked the garbage up and I was thinking of that raven with that big bag and started laughing. So I figured I'd paint one without the garbage

I'm sure my jaw dropped.It was amazing to watch.The sound of the wings was watch got my attention.I knew something big was flying by but I was surprised to see the sight I saw! I was rooted to the spot in awe so I don't how far it flew with the bag, but it disappeared around the corner at the end of the road and didn't stop to rest or drop it!
