Deb, this is beautiful and just what I needed right now, a trip to the beach. Some friends of mine are at the campground we always camp at, I told them about it and they got reservations and went, I'm so jealous! I miss my beach!

Thanks so much Evey! You and me both.I wish the beach here looked like this.I needed the ocean beach so I had to paint it from some of my photos and memory. There's someting about the ocean beach you just don't get from a lake one
I hope your friends get as much enjoyment from the campground as you do. I know what you mean by missing the beach.

Your welcome Deb. The lake beach is nice but it cannot compete with the ocean beach. "WaaaaaWaaaaa"

You're right, the lake beach pales in comparison to the ocean beach.I miss the ocean so I had to paint it.You're lucky you live so much closer than me.I'm a six day drive from my favorite beach and a two day drive to the ocean on the east coast.
So far away.Maybe one day I'll get to walk barefoot in the sand again and breathe in the salty air.

I'm so happy to be just a few hours drive from the coast, although right now it might as well be far away, gas prices are way out of line right now, it's $4.69 a gallon for the cheap stuff!

The gas prices are ridiculous.I don't think there'll be a lot of people travelling to far in the near future. It will have a trickle down effect on tourism, jobs, cost of goods to the stores, everything you buy is transported at some point by truck, food prices will go up.Our gas is $5.98 a gallon for the cheap stuff! Insane considering all the gas and oil reserves we have in the ground. We also export it for cheaper than what we pay for it here. How stupid are we!

OMG! your gas prices are huge! I know the government better do something or we are going to go into a depression! Makes me want to stock up on all the things they struggled for in the last depression, sugar, flour, canned goods, gas! I really wonder why the government is letting this go on, they can surely see what's going on, it has to have something to do with money!

I know it's ridiculous.Hubby wants to fill the freezer and stock up on canned and dry goods just in case. It's going to get scary I think, all the jobs that have been cut lately, cost of everything going up it's insane.Look at all the people that are just walking away from their homes because they can't afford them. Were are they all going, how are they surviving? When people get back into a corner they'll do all kinds of crazy and violent things just to survive.I read an article that everyone is just 4 missed meals away from complete anarchy and damn it was scary.Something needs to be done before all chaos breaks loose.

I agree. I know we could survive on what we can hunt and such, but I'm still going to stock up on a few things, Steve has a really good paying job and it gets tough sometimes, how in the world are the people making min. wages making it! Our government better open it's eyes and start doing something to help the people who support them!

It might get real scary before anything changes for the better.Mine makes the highest wages in town where they work, around 30 an hour regular time, overtime is time and a half or double and it still tough at times.I don't know how people making min.wage, even if they both work, manage. It's crazy.

It's really sad.Where will they go and how will they survive? How awful to have to leave behind all that they worked for? It's really not fair that people work so hard and don't get ahead.

It's too scary right now,the way things are going. So many jobs are disappearing and so many people are just walking away from their homes. The numbers are staggering and keep getting worse.
