Description
I was meaning to do this like 5 months ago. It never happened, cause I was too busy. As if its any different now >.> (I'm JUST as busy as before). But since today I don't have any COOP, I'll use today to just make a lot of sketches and such, so that I can do something this weekend, and hopefully have it up later.In the mean time, heres something basic. If theres something you dont understand, then I epic-failed.

Using the lasso is probably worse than using the polygonal lasso D:
Oh, and to do outlines would be the same. Instead of selecting fill, you select stroke. The "size" of the stroke depends on the brush px size. But 1 seems to be the best if you want to make it vector-based.
Its hard to describe exactly HOW to use the pen tool (in terms of setting up each point), eventually after playing around, you figure it out.

Lighting can be annoying sometimes.. But if you have enough reference to see how it works, you'll be fine

Glad to be of some help d(>3<b
To be honest, the first time I "tried" to use the pen tool was 4 years ago (and failed at it). Tried it again 2 years later, and continued to practice. Tutorials online never helped me >3<

From my experience, its about the same. I'll come across maybe one or two good tutorials. But its rare. And so, whenever I do something nice or decent, I'll probably share it around with everyone
(but I can't give away ALL my tips and secrets now can i? )
The pen tool is something a little hard to get used to. I had a bunch of old sketches on my hard drive, and thats how I used to practice outlining with a pen tool. Before, I'd outline with a lasso tool. Its no wonder why I thought digital inking is a pain. Now its fun ^__^;;
