Wow, this is a great depiction of Theodora - it has a nice byzantine feel to it. Her head gear is wonderful and I like the shading a lot - thank you for sharing!

Favorite Byzantine Empress yesplz? This is basically amazing. It's really astounding how well you made her look like the mosaics, but she still looks like a real person too. I love her.

Thanks! This style is looks like between the very early icon painting and the Fayum portraits (which was absolutely awesome,  if you don't know them, please, look at them in the web, you wouldn't regret, I promise...)
