11" x 17" @600 DPI. Art by Andy Kubert, Sanda Hope and Alex Sinclair. Been holding off uploading this one for a couple reasons. I wanted to wait until the book launched and I also did not want to show that I was asked to re-color the cover. This one was a little tough not only because of its size, but also because there's a lot going on that can distract from the main stuff. Red seems to be the dominant color for the entire series so I decided to use it as the focal color here and using blue/cyan as the secondary color.This image is available as a 1 of 1 print. Yeah but I always wonder about another reason because I know that Flashpoint was made to create the New 52 but I know there had to be another reason. Another reason as to why DC decided to throw in another reboot 2-3 years after Final Crisis.
And the only one that has the answers is the guy behind it... Geoff Johns.

I'm not sure if this is an actual question or if you're bating for a terse response. All I can say is that the work we all put into the series is some of the best we have collaborated on and the events in it successfully launched the New 52.

what i mean is dont you think that the plot of flashpoint was a little disturbing perfectly respectable superheroes reduced to evil negative versions like wonder woman being a brutal dictator superman being a government experiment bruce waynes saintly parents being and homicidal batman and an even scarier joker i mean its pretty traumatising for a comic book fan to see his favorite characters like this

It was an alternate reality created by a single act. I loved that aspect of it. I won't say that I liked every single thing that Flashpoint created, but overall I thought it was a great story and an awesome launch point for the new DC.

i know it was alternate reality but doesent the concept of how things couldve gone frighten you? like seeing a malnurished superman being poked and prodded by unsympathetic scientist or bruces mother martha wayne mutilating herself into a scary joker dont you see flashpoint marred the image of perfectly respectable dc characters and the new 52 is still doing that

any chance of dc publishing a graphic novel containing proof that all the behaivor the characters in flashpoint exhibited would never happen even if things did go that way?

I can't speak to what DC will or will not publish in the future. Might make for a good story--maybe you should develop it...

there were two other versions, neither of which I did. All I know is I was asked to color it for the actual cover and and I just couldn't say no!

una consulta por favor......la ventaja de colorearlo a 600dpi y luego reducirlo al tamaΓ±o real de impresion lo mantiene en 600dpi o lo baja de resolucion.......si es asi a cuantoΒΏ

lo tuve que colorear a 600 DPI y tamaΓ±o actual porque la van a usar para posters y promociones. Normalmente las coloreo a 450 DPI que, al reducirla fΓsicamente, les convierte la resoluciΓ³n a 600.
