11" x 17" @ 450 DPI. Art by Ivan Reis, Oclair Albert and Alex Sinclair. I always liked the Superman #199 cover so I definitely said "YES!" when asked if I wanted to color this tribute to it by Ivan & Oclair. The one thing that especially amuses me about this is how all the other heroes apparently have nothing better to do than watch these two race. :'D
I think the speed effects worked really well, I genuinely get the feeling that they're moving extremely fast (not so easy to achieve, really).

oh I remember a Halloween special when they had a race all over the world. Flash admitted that Sups was faster. but at the end, just as Flash vibrated through a piramid, they didn't show who won.

you know in this pic it actually looks like Superman would win because if the look on his face, he seems much more relaxed as Flash looks to be exerting more energy.
I don't understand why, if they're in a stadium or w/e, Alfred is shooting the gun. Is there a logical explanation for that? What with Batman's secret identity.
