thank you - it was kind of unexpected
I was practising for my Β [trying to] daily exercise drawing
and then I thought about a fire fox I know and this one came to me - so I had no choice
it is hand drawn on paper, and then scanned and colour edited

Sometimes we have these "out of the box" ideas, it is really interesting to see where inspiration can send us. Like it is not an exact science everything can happen. Exploring its ways is always a marvelous adventure.Β Β I am slowing down now. University is at my door, Β Β I will try to keep working but it is being difficult. Hope you keep up doing your great work.Β Β

I know, that's why I think we should follow them
because whatever happens, whatever we create this way - who
knows, it may be something good, something new and exciting
so you mean you're almost in or almost out of uni

I try to use this creativity boosts to work on technique improvement, when you are feeling properly motivated the results looks better somehow Β . I am almost in the university, first semester out of seven. Let's see where this will send me.

I use them to try to put some of my ideas on paper
technique, ehhh, I need to finally start practising this
so you had some exams now?

I think your technique is already pretty good Β , but of course there is always room for improvement Β . Exams will start probably on the end of February, so I still have some spare time. Β Β

well, I can say I can copy pretty much any technique or
artwork I see - so far at least
but, still, this is repeating something, or someone
but if you ask me how I do it - no clue
so technique department - lacking

I am trying to learn the technique other artists use so I can develop my own Β , I am also trying to use less reference so I can put creativity to work, but copying is part of the learning process once you master this skill you are free to create whatever you want, don't be disheartened Β .

I've read somewhere, that people learn by coping
if you copy enough you will have good base of styles and techniques to be able
to develop your own
we'll see
but I have to say, I do enjoy copying some beautiful work
also, every time I do that, as you said - I learn something new

For some reason when I do copying I feel safe and confident. By the other hand when I draw without reference, most the times I feel bad because it doesn't look the way I imagined Β . I hope one day I will manage to get rid of this problem.

sintel16 In reply to ARCR-CRic [2015-01-15 21:55:57 +0000 UTC]
exactly the same
it feels somehow more confident and easier
when I copy, its like then I know what to do
and when I want to do something from my head
it always comes out not like I wanted
but I think with lots of practice this will change

Slowly our hands become an extension of our mind allowing us to draw and paint exactly the way we imagined Β , but yes this will require lots of practice and patience. I struggle with the second requirement a lot.Β Β
