I never thought about using the blender to clean up those tiny mistakes, thank you!

OMG Sure! I'm so glad you found that useful!
The blender, byΒ nature, eats away the color (which is how it blends colors together). So it's PERFECT for eating away excess ink!

Does this tutorial work with promarkers?

SiSero In reply to Jaffarusina [2014-01-07 01:18:21 +0000 UTC]
Absolutely! I use these same techniques for just about every brand of markers I use
You may have to adjust it according to how rigid or soft your markers nibs are, but the method of working from lightest to darkest for a softer (blended)Β look and working from darkest to lightest to achieve a sharper shadow etc. will remain the same
Have fun and feel free to ask questions!

how do you get the colors to look so crisp and smooth? when i go to scan my art in it messes with my colors (like it dulls them, and light colors don't show up, and yellows stick out like a sore thumb and dark colors like my blacks and 09 grays don't look as nicely blended as it does on the paper.)
Do you use a special scanner? or is it the paper? In order of me to get the right balance on a scanned piece i usually had to edit the colors on PS, but i still don't get the over all nice look i've inked out on paper before i've scanned.

oooh yesss I've had that problem before! It all comes down to the type of scanner you use Most scanners are meant for office use while others (usually made by Epson) are designed to scan art work! It's really amazing how great they are! My work is rather largeΒ AND I have to scan in all of my manuscripts when my publications are ready to be printed, so i invested in the Epson 10000XL ...it's...freaking...HUGE!! LOL
I hope I was able to help!
