We can't hide it anymore, we've already told Yenn and Zai, they've sworn to support us, and to keep our relationship a secret, but... It's just not possible to hide it anymore, I'm starting to show the physical signs, and I can no longer fight, and risk harm to my unborn child... Jan and I are leaving the order, we'll be expelled anyway once they find out, and we're done fighting for something we no longer believe in. In a way the Jedi have lost their way just like us, I know we're not alone in believing that, we're supposed to be peace-keepers, not soldiers... Now I'm going to look to the future, our future, where we're free to love each other openly, and can raise our child away from this seemingly endless war... Star Wars OC AU stuff. And something a little different, to the left of the group stand Jan (pronounced 'Yan') Danik and Amelia Quincy Shara, Quinn Shara's parents, and to the right stands a younger Padawan Merek Zai and his Master Yennie.

Danik is a tall individual, and Amelia very short, there's a bit of an age difference between the two, here Danik is in his late thirties/early forties and Amelia is about 23, and they've been in a romantic relationship for about a year or two, secret of course since such relationships aren't allowed for Jedi... Yennie and Danik grew up together, they trained side by side as Padawans, she's very perceptive too, and was aware of Danik and Amelia's relationship almost from the beginning, and kept it to herself out of loyalty to her childhood friend, both Danik and Yennie were unorthodox, 'gray' Jedi, who often struggled with the traditional Jedi Order, Zai and Amelia also shared their beliefs, Amelia even more so after falling in love with Danik as she feared expulsion from the Order.

When the Clone Wars started both Danik and Yennie voiced opposition to the Jedi's involvement, but ultimately accepted their roles in the conflict, however it served to deepen their beliefs that the Jedi Order had lost it's way, Danik, considering resignation, even stopped wearing his Jedi robes, instead choosing casual Corellian wear. Both Danik and Yennie were powerful Jedi, Amelia was also naturally gifted, and Zai showed great potential.

Shortly before the end of the Clone Wars Amelia fell pregnant, she and Danik took that as a sign that it was time for them to leave the Jedi Order, Yennie and Zai stayed to lead their troops, but remained in contact with them, until an order came down from the office of Chancellor, Order 66, the elimination of the Jedi.

Yennie was the first to fall, killed instantly when she was shot in the back by the men she was defending, Zai was wounded in that skirmish, losing his right eye and fleeing into hiding, desperately clinging to his Master's Lightsaber... About a month into the Purge Amelia gave birth to Quinn, and whilst she and Danik were happy to have brought her into the world it was far from the future they'd hoped for... shortly thereafter their location was discovered by a young Dark Jedi in the service of the Emperor, Danik stayed behind to fight whilst his wife ferried their month-old daughter to safety, Danik wounded the Dark Jedi, however a Sith Lord (Vader) came to finish the job...

For the next five years Amelia ferried Quinn across the Galaxy, running from Imperial pursuit until finally stopping on Da'hren, she abandoned her beloved child and turned to face her pursuers, tired of running, she died fighting a young Inquisitor, taking some comfort in the knowledge that her daughter is safely hidden...

Whilst growing up Danik's spirit sometimes guides Quinn through the Force, often speaking in her dreams, though she rarely remembers his voice, Amelia's spirit is more reluctant, as she feels guilt for abandoning Quinn, and mourns for the family life they never got to share, Amelia also bares the brunt of resentment from Quinn during Quinn's early life as she feels abandoned, Amelia watches over her silently, accepting her daughter's resentment.

After her death Yennie's Lightsaber falls to Zai, and likewise after Amelia's death her Lightsaber falls to her daughter, Quinn.

Ughh, I love these characters, I'm so sorry they suffer like they do, I'm a cruel bastard... ;_; I like this group shot, Amelia and Danik in particular, they're a strong loving couple, I wonder what their life would have been like if not for the Purge... I like how Zai looks here too, he's about 15 or so here. The background is a war torn city, I hope it looks alright. Anyhow, I've talked enough, hope ya'll like it, feedback is greatly encouraged!
