Very nice tutorial, though, do you have a tutorial on how to draw silver also, as I've browsed and haven't seen one for a silver yet..

it's the same for silver i think, you can simply try to desaturate the gold layer so it turns to gray : yellow highlights will become white and dark areas will give a grayish shadow look. Try it though and tell me if it works for you :3

i don't think it'd be much difficult to apply this to silver, u just apply different colors from the start, or u could even change colors later C;
