the sky and mountains looks very de-saturated and washed out and as a result makes the whole image seem edited pushing it out of the HDR effect for me, which when you have down it right, I notice the vibrancy first, and editing is an afterthought. whereas here I notice editing first and HDR effect after. The color of blue in the water is stunning, and almost stealing the shot. mountains in background of the shot doesn't stand up to the waters vibrancy and leaves image disjointed for me. All this is splittin hairs in end however, your eye for color and image composition are impecable as always friend.

This is one of those photos where the bottom 1/2 is good but the top half really needs some work. It is a solid case for having the right tools for the job and a Grad ND certainly would have benefited you greatly with holding back that sky so it's isn't completely clipped and over exposed. that or HDR processing to get the exposure correct. The tree on the right is severely fringed with purple chromatic aberration, which can be fixed usually in post work. If you shot this in RAW which you certainly should be doing, you can try blending a couple different exposures together, 1 for the foreground and 1 for the sky. If you shot it in JPG you are out of luck.
I like the highlights in the bottom of the image on the trees on that shoreline, nice catch there, very nice.
Just watch your exposures and you will come away with a much better looking image.

I KNEW this had to be Canada! Such lake blueness is not a lie when it comes to this photo. Great shot, especially considering that the clouds way up there could sometimes block the sun. Great depth and capture of miles in this image from near to far. Lovely.

I love the colors and the contrast you have in this photo. With that said the sky seems to be a little lack luster compared to the rest of the photo. It seems too bright so everything almost comes out blurred white-ish look to it, its hard to distinguish the blue sky and the white clouds. Otherwise its great!

As we discussed, this one would work so much better with a grad over the sky to help balance out the exposure. If you dont have a physical grad you can apply them in Lightroom (best to shoot in RAW of course). LR grads arent quite as good as the real one, but they have rescued my shots more than once.
I like the natural framing from the trees at the left and right, it's a bit of a shame that the tree is in the middle as it kind of forms a barrier between the viewer and the lake and mountains.
