I did a little experiment, inking, photocopying, then marker coloring the Lumion Lightslide sketch.I've been working with the burgundy and orange look for a while, but you just can't go wrong with yellow and blue black.

I prefer the yellow and black also. It's brighter and the contrast is more eye-catching.

If red on the right side were a bit darker, perhaps with a bit more of a brown tone? Maybe violet? I'd like it, but as it stands, my vote would be for the one on the left.

I like the red and green. It contrasts well and it looks more unique. The gold and black/black is too similar to the early X-Men costumes to me.

I'd incorporate a little more green into the costume. Have you ever seen the 3D man, an old 70s Marvel character? He had a really interesting red/green costume.

I do, and I really like him (and his legacy hero Triathalon).
The green is a natural body feature, not really a costume color.
I'll keep working on it, but the blue and yellow have been around since Reagan was President. It's only recently that there'd been changes.

I know I should have gone with Brown for that side. The red just matched the outfit that Nighthornet made an excellent render of.
And I will admit - the original Lumion/Powerboy outfits were very heavily X-Men inspired.

You're right, you can't go wrong with yellow/black/blue and that one gets my vote. I do like the orange/burgandy combo, but it doesn't seem to work with this gent.

dopplegangers and the like!

gotta go with Wormm. keep both. never throw any ideas out. use the yellow and blue as a primary and the other (or more) as backups. being in a super hero universe means ANYTHING can happen.
