Description
New profile: ~ElucidatorEDIT: Disregard the subsequent paragraph. I got a new picture. With good light, my new camera was a BOSS at getting the proper balance. I used PS to lighten it, increase the contrast a little, and sharpen a little. Of course, I added a watermark as well. Nice!
I fixed this >> (THE CAMERA DESTROYS EVERYTHING I LOVE. Seriously, I'm going to try to a better image of this if it kills me. This is a terrible photo and I had to edit it so hardcore to get it anywhere near the proper tone balance. It's so wrong.)
ANYWAY. I drew this in pencils! Because I love Natalie Portman! Who doesn't? She's a fantastic actor, and she's smart and beautiful. So there we go! It's also 4:00 AM and I need to go to bed.
Size: about 20 x 26 inches
Time: about 28 hours
Materials: drawing paper, and pencils 2H to 8B, a kneaded eraser, and tissues and tortillons.

Even if this is a "terrible photo" (which sadly yes pictures destroy the good quality, but I can't even see anything bad about this quite frankly) IT IS BEAUITFUL! AND I KNOW! WHO DOESN'T LOVE NATALIE PORTMAN?! (especially her performance in Black Swan! AMAZING!)

Nope, I got a better photo today! YAY! Glad you like it! I haven't seen Black Swan yet (heard mixed reviews and then never got around to it), but everywhere else I see her, her genuine screen presence really impresses me.

I am simply amazed. Quite a breathtaking piece of work, and you avoided one of my pet peeves...obvious, obstructing watermarks. I'd use less than three, but at least you made them unobtrusive so your piece can shine through...and shine it does. It's brilliant. Well done.

Haha, it's just so easy to crop watermarks off and still get away with a fairly large picture. Call me paranoid. Or whatever. At least they're off the face haha. Thank-you very much!

Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but is right eye (her left) a little differently shaped than the other one? Maybe that's the shadow, but I just noticed.

Haha, I PROMISE it's better in real life. I know what you mean with the eye shapes, but I guarantee the lines are accurate. It's probably the poor photo / editing that's making it look skewed.

Well thank you so much! To be honest, the softness is partially because of the editing; it's a bit sharper in real life. And yessss, I worked long on the detailing haha. I spent two hours on that single stupid little trim on her clothes haha.
