Nix isn't originally from Empire city. She hails from another dimension and belongs to a tribe of fierce, brave and beautiful Amazons. She traveled to Empire City with a man who for a time lived with the Amazons. It took Nix a while to adapt to modern living, and every day life, in a sprawling Metropolis of thousands, and not a small Tribe of hundreds.

One day while on her way home from work she noticed a group of gangsters in a dark ally loading a suspicious crates into the back of a large semi-Truck. Nix didn't wish to interfere at first, but then she noticed that the guards, were knocked unconscious by one of the off load ramps. In that moment she took action. She reached into her duffel bag and took a pair of armored boots. she rolled up her pant legs, and strapped the boots on, Then immediately sprung into action. At break neck speed she tackled the gangsters, and apprehended the gang leader, by tying him to a near by wire fence. She then alerted the police, and ditched the scene.

After that night, she became addicted to the thrill, and the adrenaline rush that came with it,( it reminded her of the hunts she used to go on, back in her dimension.) She later took to the streets, and started to show the whole City what she could do. The papers, and the media started to call her Swift Nix, and she enjoyed every minute of it.
