Hi there, everybody! It feels like it's been forever since I last managed one of these tutorials, and even though I had intended to keep them coming in order, I decided to upload this one *and soon, a part 2 of it* because it was already half-made and it made a lot more sense to share it than to just keep pointlessly waiting.
This one Tutorial is a rambly dissection on Fan-character creation (specifically about Skeksis characters) : part one is about basic design, physical looks and aesthetic choices (and the reason to choose certain elements depending on what you want your character to convey and who you want them to be)
Part 2 (coming soon) will explain more about personality and characterisation- but we'll et to it later (probably next week!)
I hope this one will be an enjoyable read and may it be helpful for anyone who feels stuck at wanting to create a Skeksis fan-character!

Please keep in mind that this is not "the best way" or by any means an "official way" to draw skeksis or create Skeksis fan-characters, it's just my personal way to go about it- and given how many times I've been asked about my personal techniques and ways to draw these guys, I wanted to produce a little something to share with all of you! ^^
I really hope this will be a fun thing to look at: there will still be some more of them coming!
