I'm really quite proud of this model - it took me so long to complete, since it was the second attempt, the prototype failed dismally
It's a 5" Weighted Companion Cube that I made with a twist, but you have to check out the next photo

The were fun! I built them ages ago, but the turret's legs are tricky - you need to super glue them into place because they are so spindly.

to be honest, not really! I made one turret, and it didn't support it's own weight ... or do you mean to fold them together?
To build the legs, I used a big paperclip that I had unfolded and inserted into the form to give me the required pressure to close the leg, does that make sense?
If all else fails, go to Billybob's page - he always includes some sort of tutorial/instructional page with his models.

If you read the comments on this page, in the fifth comment, I supplied a guide as to how to overcome these issues - give that a go, and if you have any more issues, ping me and I'll send it to you directly.

Really amazing. the best cube model i've seen yet. I'm really excited to reunite with my companion cube hahaha. But I dont know what I'm supposed to do with the tiny pink pieces. Do they go on top of the seam or between the 4 large segments?

LOL! No-one knows what to do with the pink strips, hahaha!! They are the topic of on-going conversation all over the world. If you read the comments from this submission: [link] you will see that there really isn't any good solution to the problem, but we do discuss it at some length.

What you do is make the corners individually, and then attach them to the corners of the cube.

Yeah, that's pretty much it, but the key is REALLY good glue. That stick glue stuff won't cut it.

I've tried your template and I just have a few questions!
I don't know how to glue the little pink bars ;__; Everything else I figured it out but besides that..! I would really appreciate some help!

LOL! Those little pink bars are the bane of my life, hahaha! I never figured those ones out either, so I bought some pink lucky-star strips, trimmed about 2mm from the edge of the square part where the pink bars should go, and glued the pink strips behind the face of the box. Does that make sense?
Alternatively, I am in the process of re-building my box/cube because it kind of got squashed in a move, so I'll have another look at those pink bars and see if I can figure them out, if you are prepared to wait a little bit.
