Oh I like these!! It's not actually that far off from the show style; but he's less blocky, and that appeals to me more on an aesthetic level. He's not all squashed and square, but he's still dinky, as he should be. (For some reason I'm rather fond of vertically challenged protags, especially when they seem to take issue with their own smallness... I don't remember Dexter doing it too often, but I do know that in some instances, it was an obstacle to him, and that he always seemed to want to grow up to be big and tall, lel. Of course, I've ultimately seen very little of this series- though perhaps more than I thought, since apparently there's fewer episodes per season than I knew- and what little I have seen, I have not retained very well, especially the stuff that I watched when I was an actual child (late 90's to early 2000's me was a wee smol; I only turned seven in like, 2000 I think?? so ye, my memories of this time are not the most reliable).)
