#6: Dan Backslide - The Dover Boys at Pimento University; or the Rivals of Roguefort Hall

Sheesh, what is this the mincing, incompetent melodramatic villain line up this year? First The Jigglebutt Gang, then Robbie Rotten and now Dan Backslide and the sad part is, is I have more planned which fit the same bill as these guys; I swear this was completely unintentional, but seriously if I wanted a theme this year that would be it... and honestly I would not be opposed to a Countdown all of foppish foils. That being said, I need to drop another dishonorable mention to Snidley Whiplash who juuuust barely got beaten out by Dan Backslide for this placing, but really, they're both pretty interchangeable.

Kinda like Robbie Rotten, Dan Backslide was another character I kinda had slip from my mind for years then hit me like a ton of bricks out of nowhere. I blame the Dover Boys suddenly becoming a meme a few years ago which I was more then happy to see... though I didn't had Dan Backslide into that year's countdown so maybe it wasn't what made me convinced that I had to give him a spot in one... I dunno. All I do know is that the Dover Boys is one of the funniest cartoons of it's era and I'm always torn on wishing they had done more with the characters and thinking they were beautiful in it's one and only appearance. I'm honestly pretty confused as to why it took me so long to add Dan Backslide into a countdown, but that may be because the world has deemed Looney Tunes too offensive for out fragile PC minds to handle these days...
