Description
After i had given the silver spray paint ample time to dry I carefully removed all the tape and newspaper from the sword as to not scratch it or pull of any of the paint. The next step is to weather the newly sprayed edges the and rub a very small amount of Graphite Powder onto parts of the sword to help pick up some of the detailed areas.

Could you let me know the names and brands of the paints you used to paint this sword? I'd like to make my own but don't know what works. What order did you spray everything? Thank you so much for your help!

I used Matt Black and Clear Laquer from the Plasti-cote range of spray paint.
The secret is to have a super smooth surface before you paint it.
I used polly filler to fill in all the crack etc and sanded it all back and then gave it a few light coats of Spray Filler, and then lightly sanded it back with a fine grade 'Wet & Dry' paper dipped in water.
Then give the sword a a few a layers of matt black spray paint, then once dried spray it all with the clear lacquer to seal the paint and to stop it from chipping easily.
Then mask it all off and leave only the blade edges exposed and spray paint it all silver, then once fully dried carefully peel it all off and there you go!
You can also mix up some watered down black emulsion paint and dab it on by hand and rub it into the blade edge to dirty it a bit and make it looked used.
Hope that's of some help

Would you recommend spraying some kind of sealant for the silver part as well like clear lacquer or it doesn't require any?

It depends on the type of silver spray paint you use, if it's Mirror like reflective silver like I used the lacquer would completely kill it and dull it down to a horrid dark grey.
But if you use a silver spray paint used for cars you can lacquer it to seal it and to make it that bit more shinny when the light hits it

So basically use lacquer for both black and silver?

Yeah, it seals the paint so it doesn't chip or mark as easily and makes it shiny ^_^

For Asuna's green sword and Kirito's green sword, what brands would you recommend? How would you spray paint that?

Thanks
I so indeed do commissions, but I'm afraid that after finishing this one I'm not planning on taking on anymore commissions due to the work load at Uni and as well as making my Cosplay for the the ECG Finals in Paris this coming July.
But I do have a Business page on facebook - [link] , so if you wanna check it out and like/subscribe to it and keep and eye out as if i do have some spare time to do a few commissions I'll put a post out on it
