Verdigris was completely silent as Levi spoke. Live here with Levi and Quincie? Surely the other man was pulling his leg. But Levi had never lied to him before and his expression seemed genuine. Verdigris had seen the face of a liar many times and that wasn't it.

Cosmo could live in a house. A real house, not a little room above the rattle's rest. She could have a yard where she could run around with Princess Julietta and space to play and do her homework. It was the best for her. Levi would dote on her, he knew he would, and she and Quincie seemed to be learning to get along.

But he wasn't just inviting Cosmo to live with him, was he? He was inviting Verdigris too. He hadn't lived in a house since...

Well, since Delphine. And that hardly counted.

"You're... you're sure about this? I know having two extra people and a runeboo can be troubling. Of course I would pay appropriate rent, but-"

"Verdi, easy." Levi offered a kind smile, "I wouldn't have offered if I didn't think I could manage it. The last thing I want to see is you and Cosmo on the street or separated. You don't have to accept if you don't want to, but I really do have the room-"

Levi was cut off by Verdigris leaping from his seat and tackling the brown gro in a tight hug. Levi could feel him tremble slightly against him as he held back more incriminating emotions. Levi blinked in surprise before gently hugging Verdigris back, only making the teal wyngro's grip tighten further.

"Thank you. Thank you so much."

Shortest story yet but yaaaaaay Verdi isn't gonna wind up on the street! Only took like a year and some change but shhhhh

Unless Jaide or Jessics needs to add anything else, I would consider this the end of the dinner date story, so all other images with these guys would take place after Quincie's grown up.
