Verdigris wasn't thrilled that this 'magic camp' that Cosmo insisted he joined began with manual labor. He was less thrilled when the manual labor began with an emphasis on a magic that he already knew. It was with Cosmo's chattering about hearing older wynglings at the nook talking about ice skating that he got an idea. Leaving Cosmo and Juliette on the shore, he channeled his newly-explored ice magic into his feet and took a careful step onto the lake's surface. Frost bloomed beneath his foot, spreading out and proving sturdy enough to stand on. He took another step, another, another, before strutting proudly out onto the lake, well aware of the crowd gathering behind him.
