Verdigris was no fool. He'd noticed the kid's eyes on him as he perused the market stalls. He'd taken a few glances at him as they'd kepts bumping into eacher other. There were a few differences, but Wyngro, especially young ones, changed all the time. It still didn't disguise him.

That kid who picked on Dekishi all that time ago. Flint, he believed.

While his... family was behind him, he still felt that little spike of annoyance looking at that kid, clinging to his father's tail like a newborn. What sorts of things had he gotten up to since Verdigris was a wyngling? Whatever they were, perhaps he needed a friendly reminder to act nice. After all, it was absolutely rude to stare.

Verdigris waited until Flint's father turned to do business with a fruit vendor before dropping rather suddenly onto one knee in front of the kid, who started and tried to back away, his eyes widening to the size of dinner plates at the sudden appearance. Verdigris used the opportunity to examine his face closely. The shaky claws, the dilated pupils, the slightest hint of a blush across his face.

Oh, this was rich.

"Well well well," Verdigris all but purred, holding out a claw so it glinted in the sun dangerously, "If it isn't the little big mouth who was pestering my old sister all those months ago. Still trying to compensate for your gerbil brain, hm?"

Flint stammered a little before shutting his mouth and opting to just stare, that spoodle-in-the-firelight look still plastered on his face. It just made Verdigris chuckle.

"Awww, coat got your tongue?" Verdigris waved the tip of his tail like a coatala toy in front of his face, making sure to make Flint sneeze with it, "Or maybe you've finally realized that you aren't as big as you thought you were. Either way, you look adorable"

This just made the blush on the poor kid's face grow, and Verdigris couldn't stifle his laugh. Did this kid not know who he was talking to? He wished June were here, he would have had him dip him into the most passionate snoot boop just to see the look on Flint's face.

Verdigris stands up straight as the kid's father starts finishing up his transaction. "Just remember kid. Don't fall for the unobtainable."

With that, Verdigris walks off, a strut in his step, leaving a stunned Flint in his wake.
