If it looks hard and the apparent difficulty is putting you off, It's really not as hard as it looks.
Especially if you start with rings that are thinner with a larger inner diameter.
My rings are 14ga 5/16" Galvanized steel, but if you started with something like, say, 1/2" 14ga steel it'd be much easier to weave together.
