Here is the second stage. The darks in the hair and shoulders are deepened. I’m not really sure why I worked on those areas at this stage rather than move onto other areas. It just seemed like the right thing to do at this time, LOL.

In this picture, you can also see more of the pencil underdrawing that we saw in the first stage.

Btw – the shadow in the corner is from the pen I used to ink this piece. You’ll see it in greater detail shortly…
