Description
Here is Stage 6. At this point, the drawing is about 85% done. The figure requires only for me to go over and darken the darks while adding some shadows and details.The majority of the background is rendered, with many elements changed or altered from the reference photo. Subtle elements of the figure have been changed as well; small changes in lighting and shading for greater contrasts.
My signature is worked into the drawing and there is only about an hours work before it is done.

Once again,I am in awe watching a work in progress...and I have finally seen the pen you use! It never ceases to amaze me how your beautiful,complex and detailed pictures all come from pencil lines and small ink strokes...I love these step by step pictures

Yeah, I thought I would include the pen used in one of the photos as I think people think I use a mechanical pen, like a Rapidograph. I've tried those and they are so stiff and lifeless. I just use an old fashioned quill pen and bottle of india ink. Sometimes, the old ways are best....
I think the next piece I do where I take photos as I work will be a pencil drawing. But I am not certain. I'm glad the full view worked well for you. I was looking at it and I am still not very happy with the full view. Sigh. Maybe I'll try one more time....
btw - I saw you uploaded a new piece. Looks like I have my hands full, lol. I promise I will get to them all this weekend...
