Here's a stuffed caterpillar, made from this pattern [link] by the lovely juuust to try it out. My cat has a new stuffed toy to ignore, hooray!Used just pieces of felt for the antennae, and hand sewed it because I was too lazy to fire up the sewing machine. Which is funny, because this plushie would have taken only a few minutes to machine sew, but instead took me quite a few episodes of Futurama.
When I was very small, I called them "caterpitters" because all their feet go pitter patter, of course!

Thanks! He's fleece fabric with felt antennae. The fleece fabric has sort of a tie dye print on it.

The pattern loads as a google docs document. Perhaps your browser doesn't support it, but I don't know much about those sorts of things You can click the "download file" on the right side of the deviation (it's a PDF) or maybe contact the artist herself, she posted a comment here right below your comment and I'm sure she'd be happy to send you the file.
