I'm going to go back to my old style of taking a week or less to make something nice then post that. I realize that for me, I much rather enjoy putting work into something nice and wait longer, then post too often. I hope you like it!---

I must say, after I just saw this piece in my inbox, I started scrolling through all the related pictures, and I am absolutely fascinated by this gorgeous boy. I love the idea from which he was born from; such an interesting story behind 52, and your take on it is so beautiful.
I love this picture, the way the water dances on his body and across the sharks is spectacular. I love how strong he looks, like a whale does, but he's got such a gentle body language to him. He always looks so worried, so scared, very reflective of the fact that he's one of a kind and alone out there.
I love mermaid/mermen concepts, especially when they're done in a really unique way, and this boy has to be one of my straight-up favourites.

I'm really happy you noticed the body language! I had the idea of maybe him being the last of his kind, a sea prince, who while being large and powerful, he's all alone.Β

I looked up the story of the 52 hertz whale after you mentioned it in your description and was absolutely captivated by it. I love the twist you've put on it with this boy, and I certainly look forward to seeing more of him as you intend to develop him. He's got such a beautiful design.
