Meet Lejandro, nicknamed Leif by his friends for quite clear reasons. Half human and half elf, Leif’s abnormal blood left him susceptible to strange diseases—ones that affected him in even stranger ways. Over hundreds of years, his veins have turned to vines and continue to overtake his body. One day, he'll root down and become more tree than person. He is currently living in the underground tunnels beneath Las Vegas (true thing) along with a full colony of demon-human hybrids who have been cast away (that part...I made up).

And it would be characters like this that make it very hard to ever think of doing Night Child as a comic…
